I’m Ginet, Owner and Principal Designer of Ginet Casido Interiors.
People are usually surprised when I tell them I was a Software Engineer for over ten years before pursuing my second degree in interior design. I’m not sure if it’s because they think I’m much younger than someone who has been working for ten years, or they think software and design are completely different. However, even after graduating from UC San Diego with a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, I always knew there was another path I needed to follow. It just took me a while to get there. I now have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design through the Design Institute of San Diego. I am also an Allied ASID member. I have the knowledge, resources, and experience to creatively produce a design solution and manage its implementation for your home by utilizing both left and right sides of my brain.
I believe one is never too young or old to learn. Loved ones are at the forefront. Books and travel are enriching and empowering. And coffee or tea with great conversation can be cathartic.
As for design, I am passionate about fostering inclusion and memories in the home. I draw inspiration from experiences and interactions. I am also a firm believer that design can make the world a better place.
