Virtual Design Explained

Not everyone wants or can afford our luxury design services, but that doesn’t mean you should go without any guidance. A more approachable service offering for many is Virtual Design. Many designers offer this type of service, but we all have different approaches, just like any other design service! I explain how we interpret and handle Virtual Design.

What is Virtual Design?

I like to think of our virtual design offering as a mix between “E-Design” and “DIY Design.” It involves a simple process, all done virtually!

Who is Virtual Design For?

Virtual Design is a great option for those who prefer the expertise of an interior design professional without the thorough, creative process of our luxury design services. The main difference between Virtual Design and Luxury Design is that there are no customizations to furnishings done in Virtual Design.

How does Virtual Design Work?

Discover: Start by contacting us to find out if this is the service you truly need and to check our availability (we limit the number of Virtual Design services per month).

Design: After you book our service, you’ll receive a link to the Client Questionnaire. Once you fill out the questionnaire and send us photos and dimensions of your space, we’ll schedule a Virtual Design Consultation. During the consultation, we’ll review the questionnaire, discuss budget and anything else we’ll need from you to design the perfect space for you.

Deliver: Two weeks after the Virtual Design Consultation, you will receive the Design Package which includes the following:

• Color Scheme
• 2-D Drawings (floor plan with furniture layout, elevations if needed)
• Design Boards with images of furnishings
• Link to personalized, shoppable collection where you can purchase most, if not all the furnishings

Things to Consider

The typical turnaround time is 2 weeks.

• One revision is included after delivery of the Design Package. Additional revisions require additional fees.
• Though we cannot guarantee goods will be available when you are ready to purchase, we will make sure they are upon delivery of the design. As a courtesy, if a product is no longer available (not including backordered items) within 2 weeks of initial delivery of the Design Package, we will re-select a similar product for you.
• This service only applies to designing a space for furnishing and decorating.
• This service doesn’t involve sourcing any custom furnishings, such as sofas with COM and non-ready-made window treatments. But no worries, we can still help. Inquire with us to find the best service(s) for your needs!
• We value quality products, so if you’re furnishing budget is too restrained, we’ll let you know from the beginning. However, we offer solutions to ensure you are satisfied with the service and goods you receive!
